Great idea, not so great execution. Yt music works pretty ok, Spotify integration on the other hand is horrible. Songs get cut off, connection issues, sometimes even playing entirely different songs than what I pressed play on. Since it's so unreliable I'm almost not using the Sonos app now and just using Spotify connect. Sonos has superb sound, yet less than ideal software.

I got the Sonos play 1 for Christmas, spotify and songs on my phone work great. the reason for 1 star is because I can't play anything else like Netflix, hulu, HBO, Amazon prime, YouTube... you get the idea. if it's just the controller then it works fine, but I'm disappointed by everything else and that's a shame. hopefully this can be resolved and I'll change my rating.

Inconsistent, loose integration with streaming providers, and unpredictable integration with AI (ie Alexa.) While the convenience of 'wireless' is nice, Sonos still seems to have a lot of work to do with regards to a predictable experience and staying ahead of the curve. Sonos seems to think that being 'first' & market penetration (for now) protects them from competition & having to keep up but that will bite them eventually. While I'm deeply invested in Sonos I'm also perpetually frustrated.

what's happening Sonos!? Recent updates have totally messed up synchronisation: long delays between selecting a song and it playing; random switches to other songs; regularly disconnects from Spotify playlists. Was working perfectly until a few weeks ago. Now, almost totally unusable. used to be the proud owner of several sonos speakers and continuing to build system. With current functionality, I now find myself looking for other speaker options

Great...when it can talk to the speakers. My Sonos system was always stable...until a few updates ago since which the app on my Android phone randomly cannot find the Sonos system. You have to reset the app, turn off WiFi and reboot...and then it's pot luck - sometimes it works, other times it can be an hour before it reconnects. Luckily my tablet doesn't seem to suffer the same issue...

Device: LG G5. Fairly easy to use basic functions but it takes too many presses to adjust the volume using the physical volume button. Also, I adjust the subwoofer level based on what kind of music or video I'm consuming. The sub settings are buried under too many sublayers making quick adjustments impractical. It would be better to have individual settings for sub and surround speakers on the main page. I do like how you can access content from multiple sources from the app though - very handy!
